Today is the first real day of fall here in Houston.  I got to wear a long-sleve sweater this morning!

Every morning I make a cup of mediocre coffee using my little "pod" Senseo coffee maker, then I trudge out to the deck to "feed the monkey" (smoke a cigarette).  I overheard the weatherman say it was 59° outside.  Wahooooo!  It's coming. I can feel it.  This is the time of the year when I'm around-the-clock happy.  No more sweating just for being outside.

Related to the number 59: here's a rockin' song from Ella Fitzgerald that came out in 1959.  Enjoy...

Listen to this and tell me you don't want some black coffee and a cigarette.

Yeah, but morning breath is ~icky~ and I got a dose of that around 7.30am today. Worth it in the end though . . .
